Methodist Church on Social Responsibility
The Methodist Church’s (MCZ) Christian social responsibility has been driven by two major factors. Firstly, by Jesus ministry which was focused on the women, children, the less privileged, the despised and the downtrodden as reflected by his manifesto in (Luke 4:16-20 and John 10:10)
Secondly, the life of John and Charles Wesley and the Holy Club were involved in the care for orphans; they built hospitals, and were caring for prisoners among others. John Wesley is known historically together with William Wilberforce in their contribution of stopping slave trade. These two points of departure propels Methodist Church in Zimbabwe to respond accordingly. There are a number of activities where Methodist is actively involved.
THE METHODIST CHURCH IN ZIMBZBWE UNITED KINGDOM FELLOWSHIP CONGRATULATION MESSAGE
Makorokoto, Amhlophe, Congratulation to the Presiding Bishop, Lay President and the whole Methodist Community for the 120 years of successful evangelisation in Zimbabwean soil ! This is a tremendous milestone, and one that we can look back in thankfulness and appreciation to God who has led us over the years. Of course we were not there when it all began, but we have been privileged to be placed as "trustees" for the church at this point, and we are believing that God will help us continue being faithful to His call to service. Ngariende Vhangeri, Malihambe Ivhangeli we say Forward with Evangelisation!
REV & MRS NYAWO AND ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE METHODIST ZIMBABWE FELLOWSHIP IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
